Volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of six players, a game based on spiking, digging, serving, setting and blocking. In short, it is an upgraded game of "don't let the ball touch the floor". It is a sport intriguing to watch, but difficult to master.

Hwa Chong Volleyball, started in 1974, has achieved excellent results over the years, with both our Boys and Girls teams in the National Top 4 every year since 2010, cementing our status as one of the strong traditional sports teams in Hwa Chong.

More importantly, HCVB is a family with friendships across batches that continue even after JC years. We have a strong alumni of with 200+ members over 42 batches, who provide physical, mental and financial support to the team, even after graduating. We also organize inter-batch bonding activities such as our annual HCVB steamboat and Alumni Homecoming Day which uphold the school values of 饮水思源, and spearhead our own annual team CIP project to give back to the community.

Lastly, we are a driven team that aims not only for on-court excellence, but also to inculcate values such as teamwork, determination, self-discipline and passion in each of our members.
