Health and Fitness is home to those who seek to challenge themselves and push themselves to their physical limits via means of a rigorous physical training regimen. Health and Fitness caters to members with different goals with 3 different wings (Powerlifting, Aesthetics/Calisthenics, Endurance) in which members can choose to join.

Powerlifting:

Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of the 3 big lifts (Bench, Squat, Deadlift). In this wing, members can expect to learn the 3 compound movements in detail as well as experience massive strength gains.

Aesthetics/Calisthenics Wing:

This Wing focuses on building an aesthetic body mainly through body-weight movements and weight training. Members can expect to learn proper movement techniques and look better with our training programmes.

Endurance Wing:

This Wing focuses on building the endurance of members mainly through running. Members can expect significant improvements in 2.4km timings and improved cardiovascular health.

At Health and Fitness, we also aim to cultivate an interest in our members of continuously seeking to expand their knowledge of ‘health and fitness’-related information and applying them in their training. As such, we have adopted a 2-pronged approach, comprising the ‘General Meeting and Sharing Session’ (Theory) and the ‘Club Training Session’ (Application).

General Meeting and Sharing Session (Theory):

Members can expect to be exposed to a myriad of 'health and fitness'-related information, ranging from healthy eating and living to the application of biomechanics in exercises. Furthermore, members will be taught the proper techniques of effectively using gym equipment, and how best to create and customise their own fitness programme. After all, it’s not only about working hard, it’s also about working smart.

Club Training Session (Application):

Members will then be able to apply what they have learnt in weight training/ cardiovascular exercise, taking their fitness levels to greater heights with the enhanced safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the proper techniques and programmes.

Powerlifting*: Subject to School's discretion due to safety issues.
