The CIP Council is a group of eight unique individuals who are deeply passionate about serving the community and dedicated to inculcating a culture of giving in Hwa Chong. Apart from being ambassadors of service, we provide advice and assistance to Service-Learning projects, offer opinions regarding the school's policies related to CIP and Service-Learning, and organise a wide range of CIP activities.

What we do:

Our key CIP activities include:

  • Visits to Senior Activities Centres, where we interact and bring joy to the elderly along with our peers from other CCAs

  • Outing with MINDs Clients, to places such as the Zoo and bowling

Our key events include:

  • Social Awareness Week, through which we introduce issues related to service through a variety of talks, workshops and learning journeys

  • Batch Project, a yearly project by each batch of CIP council members

  • Founders' Day CIP, where we spearhead the school-wide CIP movement to commemorate and emulate our founders' spirit of giving

  • President's Challenge, where we organise an activity at the Istana Open House to support a chosen beneficiary

Beyond these, each batch of CIP Councillors is encouraged to propose their own initiatives or policies, to add value in their own ways to the council, to the school and to the community.
